What's this? We just had the 2009 US Open and no chat about it?
If Tiger does not win the Kid bans such talk.
However, all the Bear can say is what a great tournament. I was glued to the tube.

That was the worst US Open in recent memory. The rain killed it. The Open had the worst TV ratings in over 10 years. No continuity and the fact that Ricky Barnes and Lucas Fuckin' Glover were paired in the final grouping didn't help much.
As for the top two players in the world -- Tiger and Phil -- they both could have easily won this tournament but they didn't so hats off to this Glover clown.
There was more talk this US Open week about the "waves" the players were in -- early with rain; late with improving conditions that it was just a bad tournament. No way to avoid what happened but still there was very little compelling about it. Didn't watch much of it since you never knew when they might or might not play!

Why so sour? The rest of the field is catching up to Tiger!:pound:

The lack of continuity because of the weather was a disaster for the PGA. Woods still finished 6th though. Mickelson choked it away today...nothing new there. The filth time he's finished second in the US Open. Go figure.
It was just a lousy tournament. Not so much because of the outcome but because of the lack of knowing what was going to happen. Were they going to play Saturday? Would the tournament last until Tuesday or Wednesday based on the weather reports? Nobody cared. Very few watched much of it.
Now for the British Open. Can't wait to see the cow pasture they'll be playing on there. Phil is on record that he won't be playing there because his wife is battling cancer and all. But my opinion is that Phil doesn't like to play over there. I don't think he has finished better than 20th or ever worse in the Open Championship.
Wonder who the favorite will be in the Open? Lucas Glover? Ricky Barnes? LOL.
