Well that was pretty compelling today. Chad Campbell had a chance for a record at Augusta but he blew up on 17 and 18.
Tiger could easily be 5-6 under but he blew some really makable putts at 12, 16, and 17 and then bogied 18. What a flash in the pan. Still at -2 he's in the hunt. Better than usual start for him. The last three times he shot 70 in the first round he won the tournament. We'll see. Lot of big names on the leader board, including Jim Fuyk, Hunter Mahan, Mike Weir, Zack Johnson, Harrington and Greg Norman (70), Angel Cabrera and the old man Larry Mize.
Not bad. Should be a great tourney.

Why doesn't the PGA just give the field a 10 shot lead over Tiger to start just to make it interesting? :p

He's in 20th place right now. So there are 19 players he has to climb over to win this thing. Tall order even for Woods.

Anthony Kim made 11 birdies in today's second round. I assume that's a lot. How good is this kid? I don't know anything about him.

He is VERY good and has a good chance of winning.:beerbang:

I like Kim a lot. He's humble. He's got tons of talent and he's just fun to watch. Eleven birdies at Augusta? That's just sick. It's a Masters record.
He's in the hunt. Love to see him win...Kenny Perry would be another guy I'd like to see win.
Saturday is moving day at the Masters. If Tiger has any hope of winning he's gonna have to shoot at least 67 on Saturday and hope like hell the field comes back a little.

How far out is he now?

He is 7 back at -2!...and tied for 19th. There are an awful lot of people in front of him. Hard to believe they will all falter...Michelson, Garcia, Perry, Caberea, Cambell, Kim, Hamilton, Clark, Fuyrk, Singh, Oligvy, plus more.
That is a tall order to fill. I don't give him much of a chance but like I said, Saturday is moving day at the Masters. Tiger will have to go low and get some help -- a lot of help.

Fucking Perry felt the noose tightening around his neck. Dumb shit. Two up with two to play and he chokes it away.
3-man playoff.
Well at least he still has a shot to win.
Here we go!
Great win for Angel Cabrera! Well done.

It seems The Masters is always great. Always dramatic.
Cabrera was very lucky to win. But he won. That's all that counts. When he hit that tree on the first playoff hole he was soooooo lucky that ball ended up in the middle of the fairway. It could have gone a 100 places where he would have been toast.
In any case it was a great tournament. You have to feel bad for Perry but bottom line is he had the tournament in the bag and he chocked.
I just loved watching the Masters.
