To all you Giants fans out there who live in or near Connecticut:
I am interested in attending a few Connecticut Defenders games this summer. The reasons for this are:
1) I like to follow the Giants and their prospects
2) While all of the Big 4 (MadBum, Tim2, Buster, and AnVil) will start the season at high A (San Jose) there is very good reason to believe that 3 of them (MadBum, Tim2, and Buster) will be promoted to AA (CT) later this year (once the warmer weather comes to CT).
3) Since the Giants are negotiating with Norfolk, VA to move the AA affiliate there for next season, this may be the last year we us northeasterners get to see the these AA Giants nearby.
I live in southeast CT (about an hours ride to Norwich). I really don't fancy going to see these young players alone, so if any of you are interested, and live near Norwich, and would like to make the trip one night or afternoon (good news, most weeknight games start on the early side - 6:35 - so you won't be out too late) with me, let me know. If you have a motorcycle, and want to ride to the game, even better (I promise to keep my Triumph Thunderbird under 100, so you can keep up). If no riders are out there, me and my Mustang can get us there as well.
At this point it is early, so I am just writing this post to gague interest. If any of you are interested, just let me know.
