Some media clowns keep saying Kate is fat. That's nuts! She's not even close to being fat.

Shit, I am 6ft even and 170, I have more fat then she does. People are so damn shallow these days, what is this world coming to? You have to be a toothpick to be attrtactive anymore.

For the first time ever, I walked out of a movie. My wife simply couldn't stand the graphic and gory violence of the Watchmen. I thought it was going to be another Batman, Ironman, Superman type comic book movie. Well, it's not. The movie is incredibly violent and graphic. One of the "superheroes" does the following:
1) Shoots and kills JFK
2) Punches and attempts to rape a female "superhero"
3) Shoots a pregnant woman in the head (who was carrying his child)
4) Shoots unarmed civilians in the back as they run away from a riot.
One scene shows two dogs chewing on a little girl's severed leg. Another scene has two "superheroes" attacked by some thugs. The two superheros go on to pretty much break every arm and leg of the thugs in graphic detail. Do I really need to see a man's elbow break through the skin and be bent backwards? :nono:

The movie District 9 looks really fascinating. It's about an alien spacecraft that lands in South Africa 28 years ago. The aliens are quarantined in South Africa. The aliens just want to go home. But the aliens can't leave either because their ship is damaged or the humans are keeping them from leaving. I can't tell which from the previews.
STAR TREK is a fair summer action movie. If all you are looking for is a bit of fun it's not bad.:awesomework.gif

I've been out of the loop movie wise.
I am going to go see the Michael Jackson thing just so I can see what they had planned for the 'This Is It Tour'. Guess the family is gonna cash in one more time. I hear theaters are already sold out for the first week or so. Hopefully that POS Joe Jackson won't get a penny.
I saw some trailers and the guy still had it even at 50.
When does the intense lineup of new movies for the Fall seasons start up? I'm afraid Transformer 2 wouldn't be my cup of tea Janda...but thanks for the heads up anyway.

True story about Baltimore's 1st round pick in the NFL draft last April (#23).
Kind of a tear jerker. Sandra Bullock is outstanding.
So today I watched Oher play against Indy. He's playing RT now although he was drafted as a LT. He was solid. Quite a story. Must see. :awesomework.gif

Wow, that SUCKED. Hated it.
Went to two movies this weekend. "Up in the Air" & It's Complicated". Both were very good films for different reasons but neither was great. Baldwin was very funny in "It's Complicated" and Clooney was good in his role. But all in all both good not great.:p

Never heard of it. What's the deal?
Not a "Bear" movie is it? (You know what I mean)
"Crazy Heart" is a great film with a star studded cast.
Now the Bear film I think you should see is "The Young Victoria". Emily Blunt is very easy on the eyes.

I tried to watch the new 3 Musketeers movie after downloading it last night. Didn't get very far into it. At first I got my hopes up after I saw that they were using actual rapiers rather than passing off dueling swords as rapiers. (you see the dueling sword masquerading as a rapier even in high quality cinema like Elizabeth, Romeo and Juliet, and basically every other 3 Musketeer/Man in the Iron Mask movie ever made). But then I knew I was in trouble when D'artagnan held out his sword and described it as the "weapon of the musketeer." And then his father says "the real weapon of a musketeer is his courage." *barf* And actually guys, the real weapon of a musketeer is a musket. If you look carefully you'll notice that it's in the fucking name. Finally after a fight scene that stole actual moves from both the Pirates of the Carribean movies and 300, D'artagnan meets Contance and tells that her name "seems very steadfast." It was at this moment that I realized that my only options were to turn it off or shoot myself in the face. Plus it didn't help that after assembling a rather talented cast, they gave the starring role to a hopelessly out-of-his-depth Logan Lerman. it was like when Kenneth Branagh put Keanu Reeves in one of his Shakespeare movies. Hath a dude not eyes? If you prick a dude will he not bleed?:thumbdown:
