Who do u guys want to win the Superbowl

SF Kid
12-30-2008, 05:36 PM
I like Baltimore. That defense is really good. Probably won't happen but that is who I'd like to see win.

Did you see that all the road teams are favored this weekend in the first round of the playoffs? Remarkable.

Indy is the hottest team headed into the playoffs, so I will take the Falcons and the running game over Indy in the Bowl!! Haha

TkleMstr52

I want Tennesse, Baltimore or Atlanta but dont think any of them will win it.

The Arizona Cardinals in the NFC title?! :wtf: I checked the Cardinals history. Before last week the Cardinals had two playoff wins in their ENTIRE FRANCHISE HISTORY! They had a playoff win in 1947 and another in 1998. That's over 50 years between playoff wins! Now they get two playoff wins in one week? Wow. :righton:

TkleMstr52
01-11-2009, 11:42 PM
Damn, I didnt know that Mc!? Thats a cool bit of history!!

SF Kid

It wold be fun to see Arizona win the Super Bowl only so we could hear for the next 8 months how much the playoff format should change. LOL.

You can keep some of the people happy some of the time but you can't keep all of the people happy all of the time.

im sure plenty of those cardinals fan would enjoy those 8 months... no matter what the outcome from here on out

The 2008 Cardinals remind me of the 1979 Los Angeles Rams. That Ram team went 9-7 and got to the Super Bowl where they almost beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. They had a 19-17 lead in the fourth quarter.

LOL @ Philadelphia.

24-6 Zona at half time.

SF Kid
01-18-2009, 03:48 PM
Ooops...Looks like Arizona is pulling another of their vaunted CHOKES. 25-24 Philly -- 4th quarter.

Remember Denny Green's melt down after they blew that big lead to Chicago a few years ago?

``The Bears are who we thought they were. We let' 'em off the hook". :bugeye:

Déjà vu?

SF Kid

Wow...Zona answers...going for two...

Gooooooooooooood.

32-25 Cardinals. Impressive. Fitz is no doubt the best receiver in the league. And to think the Raiders passed on him to draft Robert Gallery. Ugh.

SF Kid

Great game.

Whiz takes over that POS franchise and takes them to the SB in two years. The same coach that turned the Raiders down flat...no matter how much the Raiders spin it. He turned them down.

Ravens/Steelers up in 5 minutes. :D

If the fricking Philadelphia Phillies can win the World Series why can't the Cardinals win the Super Bowl? :pound:

After the Cards-Eagles game on Sunday they posted on screen that only the Chicago Cubs (100 years) have gone longer than the Chicago/St. Louis/Arizona Cardinals (61 years) without a championship.

SF Kid

The Cubs -- 100 years. I saw that too. LOL.

Wait, the Giants can't be too far behind.

I believe this is the list:

1. Chicago Cubs (100 years)
2. Arizona Cardinals (61 years)
3. Cleveland Indians (60 years)
4. San Francisco Giants (54 years)
6. Detroit Lions (51 years)
7. Philadelphia Eagles (48 years)

Funny how the Indians were like 1-2 outs away for a World Series title in 1997 and the Giants were five outs away in 2002. Actually, not funny. :(

SF Kid
02-01-2009, 06:52 AM
I like the Steelers to win. I want the Cardinals to win.

Having Pittsburgh get their sixth ring is sick. I'd rather see the Kurt Warner story get even better. A win today for Zona probably gets Kurt in to the HOF

Bear
02-01-2009, 12:25 PM
Pit. BIG!

SF Kid
02-01-2009, 02:23 PM
I agree Bear. I think fans and the media have had too much time to think about ways that Zona may win. I guess it's possible but in the end I think the Steelers defense is just too tough. Less than two hours and we'll see. I just hope it's a close game and not a blow out.

jandajuice

A very entertaining, albiet sloppy, game! The Cards showed some real grit and heart to not just fold after being down 20-7. The Steelers kept their cool at the end as well. It's probably one of the most entertaining Super Bowls I've seen.

I really don't see how he wouldn't return. Of course, he's gonna want to get paid but I can't blame him for that.

Bear
02-02-2009, 08:54 PM

Given how crappy the NFC West is I think the Cardinals are looking pretty good for '09. I don't think the Cards are that far from being a 12 win team.

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Upon further review, Nielsen Media Research now says the Super Bowl between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals was the most-watched in history.

Nielsen said 98.7 million people, on average, were watching Pittsburgh's 27-23 victory Sunday night. That beats the 97.5 million who watched the 2008 game, which held the record for the most popular Super Bowl.

On Monday, Nielsen had reported that this year's game had 95.4 million viewers -- impressive but not a record-setter.

Nielsen explained the discrepancy of more than 3 million viewers by saying a more complete check of their records revealed additional viewership on some digital tier networks. The company hadn't been aware that they were showing the game.

Even the Bear feels this is the most watched sporting event at the current moment. But the question is why. Is it the game, the ads or the half time show? I think if you took any one of these things out of the package it would be a different story. How much different is up for debate.

In essence the Super Bowl Sunday is a "holiday". Even people who don't watch the NFL will watch the Super Bowl. They see it as a time to spend with friends and family, good food, drinks, etc. It wasn't always so. I know someone that went to Super Bowl I and bought their tickets at the stadium on game day! Super Bowl I didn't even sell out. That's seems so foreign today.

For those of us who dont drink. Its cool to watch the game with my dad and bro. I am surprised this was the most watched of them all tho. GREAT GAME!! Bad result!! 49ers are improving, Az will be lucky to get double digit victories, let alone 12.

It also depends a lot on Warners decision. Leinart is no Warner.

Warner will play next year. Where else is he going to make that kind of money?

TkleMstr52

He doesnt need the money. He wants another shot at the ring.
