Welcome to Robb Nen. I know a little about Mr. Nen as he was known as mvteach at WPF. Also I have known him for over 40 years and he is very knowledgeable about baseball. So be nice to Mr. Nen and he will be nice to you.:beerbang:

Thanks for the welcome. With apologies to the late Shooter, who I also loved, I had to go with Mr. Nen. I always felt the game was in the bag when he walked onto the hill.

Glad to be here. If Bear vouches for me, I guess I have to try to live up to my welcome.

45 year old elementary school teacher in Marin.

Most exciting Giants team and the best in the post Roger Craig era: 2000. Saw them lost to Mets in Pac Bell in the JT Snow Hr game in division series. They should have won it all that year.

Hitters I have seen genuinely SCALD a baseball: McCovey and Barry. (Are we allowed to speak of Barry here, BTW? I know it is illegal to speak the name of he who must not be named at the ballpark...

Guys I loved because they looked like they were having fun playing the game: Daryl Hamilton, Bill Mueller, Marquis Grissom.

Defensive brilliance: J.T. Snow, Omar & Benito throwing from his knees

Incredible blinding speed: Deion Sanders legging out a triple at Candlestick and Eugenio.

I agree with the 2000 Giants. I think most Giants fan forget a few things about that team.

1) Scored 925 runs, by far most in San Francisco and the most for the Giants franchise since 1930!

1930 NY Giants 959 runs (6.23 R/G, 151 games)
1929 NY Giants 878 runs (5.82 R/G, 154 games)
2000 SF Giants 925 runs (5.71 R/G, 162 games)

2) Finished with the best record in all of baseball, first time since 1962.

2) Finished with the best record in all of baseball, first time since 1962....and don't forget lost in the first round of the playoffs...right?

I want a WS championship and I want it right now. Running out of time over here.
