Three 100+ win season since '93. Not bad for an organization that can't seem to get out of it's own way a lot of the time.

Four of the top 10 records have come since 2000. :beerbang:

What's amazing is that the Giants moved to San Franciso in 1958 and they didn't have their first losing season until 1972.

I wanted to ask the Bear and Kid about the 1970s Giants. Why did the fan support drop so much in the 1970s? The team almost moved to Toronto until Bob Luire stepped in and bought the team. Was it just poor performance that drove the fans away or was there something else going on?

I know I hammer on Sabean a lot but we should give credit were credit is due. Brian Sabean built a consistent contender from 1997-2004.

1997: 90-72 (1st)
1998: 89-74 (lost 1-game playoff to the Cubs)
1999: 86-76 (2nd-14 games back))
2000: 97-65 (1st- best record in the majors)
2001: 90-72 (2nd-2 games back)
2002: 95-66 (World Series team)
2003: 100-61 (1st-lost to the Marlins?)
2004: 91-71 (2nd-2 games back)

The 2000, 2002-03 teams were legit World Series caliber teams.
