Ok, I think the Boston Celtics will be sipping the bubbly in June for the first time since 1986. The were strong the entire season and dominated the Western Conference, going 25-5 against them.

I still am not sure and to tell you the truth don't care much either since my Warriors are out.
Also the way the NBA has backed the move of the Sonics I hope the whole league goes to hell.

Here's a piece onf irony. The 1975 NBA Champion Warriors only won 48 regular season games.
Seattle shouldn't be losing the Sonics. That's just :lame:

I listened to a little of the Suns/Spours game on Saturday...was driving around. Really sounded like a great game. But I'm with the Bear on this one. The NBA is making a lot of mistakes. The game has lost it's luster and this last debacle letting some guy from Oklahoma come in a steal a team that has been in a city for 41 years and been successful was total crap. David Stern is a pompous asshole to boot. I hope the NBA bits it hard.
And then dies!

No disrespect to Oklahoma City but the heck is there in Oklahoma City? Seattle is a major center of commerce and art. You have major business like Boeing and Microsoft. I spent some time in the Kent-Seattle area in May of 2001 for work reasons. I just loved the area. I had some good food on the pier and saw a Mariner's game. I'm trying to convince the wife to move there in the near future but she just complains about "too much rain".

Seattle is the 9th media market in the country ans OK City is 49th. That should say it all for the NBA but they seem to have their heads up their ass.

Well, since you put it so eloquently now I understand better. :D And why does David Stern want an NBA team in Oklahoma City? If NBA basketball couldn't survive in Kansas City (Kings) what makes Oklahoma City any better?

Thanks for noticing my eloquence. The Bear works on that.:D

Anyone watching the NBA playoffs? It looks like we may have a Celtic/Lakers NBA Fianls. Talk about a 1980s rewind!

I've watched a little here and there but frankly I'm not very interested in the NBA any more.
Didn't see it but sounds like the Spurs got hosed on a no call at the buzzer that would have allowed them to tie the game at the free throw line. *shrug*
Who cares? The NBA is yesterdays news!:gripe::twocents:

Lakers/Celtics doesn't get the NBA juices flowing?
But WHY are they waiting until Thursday to get this thing going? Dumb. Just dumb.

One more time, "Who Cares"? I just want the NBA to go away!

Boston looking to make it 3-0.
Celtics by 3 with a minute left in the 3rd.

Ooops. Kobe goes for 36 and the Lakers make it 2-1. Game 4 tomorrow in Los Angeles. If the Lakers win tomorrow...hmmmm.
I have to admit that the renewal of the LA/Boston match up is somewhat of a shot in the arm to the miserable NBA -- not much of a shot but a little one.
