I attended high school from 1982-86. Those years were pretty much down years for the Giants. After the giants almost won the NL West in 1982 they spent the next three season being the NL West whipping boys.
1983: 79-83
1984: 66-96
1985: 62-100
The 1984-85 seasons are the two worst Giant seasons in SF history. So what do you guys remember about these bad Giants teams? :) Does the names Danny Ozark, Jim Davenport, Dave laPoint, Manny Trillo, David Green, Al Oliver sound familiar?

So what do you guys remember about these bad Giants teams?Thankfully, nothing.
Thankfully, nothing.
The Kid does not remember yesterday so how can you expect him to remember the 80's?

85 was the year I "found" the Giants at the age of 9. First game was the next year and more and more after that!
I was at a game at the end of the 85 season when a drunk fan in the upper deck ran done to the rail to tell Kruk and BB what poor players they were, and he did not stop in time, and when right over the rail. He kicked a fan in the lower deck in the head and sent him to the hospital, but he was not so lucky. He died at the park before they could clear all the people away. That is why the Bear always sits in the lower level seating. You will not see the Bear falling out of the stands.:^^

Crazy but true. I can still see that guy falling.
Congrats. Mc. It looks like you will soon join the 5,000 post club. Welcome aboard. With the Bear going into semi-retirement you soon will become the boards leading poster. Keep it up my friend. :^^;)

You're too young to retire my friend. Besides whose going to give the SF Kid a paw smack when he gets out of line? :D

Someone else unless I happen to be dropping by. I am serious that I will be cutting back from being on the board every day as I have been to maybe twice a week. It's time to do other things while I still can. :jester::^^:sneak::devil:
