New Guy...

Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone. I'm the new guy, born and raised in Georgia. There's not many Giants fan here to say the least so I looke forward to meeting some of you and having some, hopefully, quality Giants discussions.

Also, let me add, I'm fairly new to the Giants fandom. I've always sort of liked them but have picked up a bigger interest since they drafted Buster Posey as he and I went to the same high school. He was a few years behind me but I was able to go to some of the games back then and watch him from then and move onto FSU.

Thanks, I actually just decided to do a search online for a Giants forum. I've seen other teams forums online and figured there had to be a SF forum out there somewhere :D. Thanks again for the welcome.

I'm about 4 hrs from Augusta. It's a good little hike. I'm down in the SW corner of the state about an hour north of Tallahassee, FL in a little town called Leesburg.

Hey, welcome Georgia guy, I love Georgia, I was in the military (USAF) and I did some of my early training down in Georgia (the 78th out of Robins AFB) and you're right, my whole 3-4 months down there I never saw another Giants fan, even the one time I went to a game at Turner Field.

Hey, you guys are going to scare GiantnGA off at this rate!!

Don't be fooled GiantnGA by the appearance given, that some of the regulars here are somehow managing to type successfully on a keyboard, whilst wearing a straight-jacket, inside a padded cell. I've been a Giants fan my whole life, and my father before me since they arrived from New York, but the level of knowledge about the club from some of the members here leaves me standing... Bear, McCovey, Kid, Will, Jim, Cox22, some great posts....I'll probably get a rude reply for even saying this, I'd bet my house on it (or at least the one I'm trying to sell, as opposed to the one we're now living in!!) but it's fun to read some of the banter, so long as it doesn't get in the way of the baseball.
