No music thread? I'm pretty obsessed with music, actually, make that really obsessed, so how about a topic for us to share a few cool videos and bands?
One band I love right now is P.O.D. - they're from San Diego, but then most of the greatest American bands are from California, love this song. Btw, somebody tell me how I can 'embed' YouTube' videos on here, I know it can be done because I was just watching a couple...so here goes anyways...

PM the Kid. He can help with setting up a link. Remember the Kid is the missing link.:pound:

Thanks. Hopefully he'll read this and just do it, and I won't need to PM the Missing Link!

Don't count on the Kid reading anything. He does not. He can read, but does a little as possible. If it is a thread he has no interest in forget about him reading anything in it. His answer is that is what the Bear is for. So PM him if you want it done.:)

It's reassuring to know that you Admins/Mods clearly have such a close working relationship   I just PM'd him anyway, so we'll see what happens. If it turns out he doesn't read his PM's either, maybe I could Google Earth to find his house, fly over, and drop my request in his back yard? :-)

Good luck he lives in a underground bunker!

Well, baseball is finally back!! Summer is almost here, and all of a sudden the world seems a much more civilised place, oh, and Giants fans have a decent team again! So how about one of the greatest songs ever written about baseball. John Foggerty is an awesome singer/songwriter, I love this song that he wrote as a tribute to our great summer game, enjoy!!

Lot of GREAT bands from the San Francisco/Bay Area, going back to the hippie 60's. Maybe the best and the biggest from more recent times is the mighty Metallica, I think they maybe A's fans actually, they are definately Raiders fans as they used to do a couple of gigs in the tailgate area at the Coliseum, but even us 49'ers fans won't hold that against them. Love this band...

No problem. If there was one artist I place above ALL others, it would be THE BOSS, Bruce Springsteen. If I remember to keep bumping up this thread, I'll be posting a lot of Springsteen songs, he's a genius IMO. I must have seen him and the E Street Band 8 or 9 times live in concert, including several shows over in Europe when I was based there, though best of all was the show he did at AT&T Park in 2003, we had seats on the upper deck, and the site of Springsteen rocking away to 40,000 people, and with about 500 boats out in the bay, all with their lights on and with BBQ's going on deck and people dancing and jumping in the ocean, I'll never forget.
He also wrote the best ever album about '9/11' called 'The Rising', here's a great song from it, The Nothing Man, seems to be a song about a firefighter who survived the WTC, just amazing stuff, and some really moving images in this video too.

OK, whenever the team goes into a slump, one thing I sometimes do to make me forget it, is I play 'Tony'...

Gotta love it.
We always have that song to fall back on!
Maybe next year. June swoon. I left my heart in San Francisco. It's all good.

I just drove through the night from Redding to Monterey, home for breakfast, which was beautiful driving on I-5 at night with hardly any traffic. Something really weird happened around Sacramento, the exact moment I first saw signs to Reno, this great song came on the radio, one of my fave bands too...
